Based
on responses from nearly 1,100 in-house counsel in 42 countries, the ACC Chief Legal Officers 2017 Survey
offers legal departments, law firms, and other legal industry partners insights
on the practices, trends, and changes in the CLO role. The 2017 report examines
how CLOs source work in-house, to law firms, and to legal service providers. In
addition, the report highlights plans and historical trends in hiring, staffing,
and budgeting.
Notable
findings include what keeps CLOs up at night, the influence of geopolitical
events on company policies, how CLOs view the future of departmental budgets
and staffing, litigation and contract workload, and where data breaches and
regulatory issues have the greatest impact.
The ACC Chief Legal Officers Survey offers
an opportunity for CLOs to compare their practices to peers around the globe.
